Easter 2012

Zevon, Evie, and Guthrie in their Easter best, and they are even smiling!

Like everything this year, celebrating Easter felt all new again.  New house, new church, new traditions, lots of new.  We were lucky to have Grandma Bev and Grandpa Wayne join us for the long weekend, as well as Grandma Rhonda, Becky, Dorian, and Jaxyn join us for Easter dinner after church.

We had lots of fun, especially since the kids are at an age where they understand a little more of what is happening.  Evie loved dying Easter eggs with me and her grandpa.  She probably would have dyed several dozen if I let her!
Evie decorating her egg with stickers (sort of gilding the lily, don't you think?)

 Our lovely, colorful eggs!
The Easter bunny came during the afternoon nap on Easter and Evie, Zevon, and Guthrie ran around the yard collecting as many eggs as they could find.  Even after the eggs were found, Evie was still playing hide and seek with the plastic eggs for days later.  There was time for some yard work.  Dad helped us get some beds all tilled up for planting and Mom got me started on the never ending weeding project in the already planted beds.  There are too few pictures from the weekend and I think that shows how busy we really were!  He is risen!  Alleluia alleluia alleluia!

Evie shakes her egg to see what's inside (M&Ms!)

Dad and Grandpa Wayne help the twins search under the slide.

I found one!

I think there's one in here!
