Baby Pattern Baldness

About a month ago our darling Evangeline discovered she could move her head and make a vigorous "no" motion as she was on her back. This is still one of her favorite things to do. I often pretend she's watching tennis.

The results of this discovery are seen in the pictures below. Not only does she have a nice bald spot in the center, but she has also worn a line near the crown of her head. Kaia protested greatly as I took these photos.

Where's her beautiful face you ask? I'll do a happy smiley post for Evie Lu later today.

First they scratch themselves, then they wear the hair off their heads, and later (when learning pull themselves up and to walk) they're covered with bumps and bruises...oofda! You work so hard to keep them safe and they work hard at exploring the world (including the bumps and bruises and baldness along the way!).

Megan didn't crawl on her hands and knees, she scooted around on her back. Imagine how little hair there was on the back of her head...especially because she'd tip her head back (or left or right)to see where she was going!

Don't you love that I'm telling tales about you, Megan?

Hey, it's okay. Chris still thinks that story is hillarious. He's all, "Why couldn't you crawl like a normal baby?" I think we all know the answer to that.

Evie, remember what I said before: when it comes to balding, go big or go home. In other words, it's time to shave it down, sweetie (since the backside baldspot doesn't exactly permit a ponytail).
