At least they were occupied
All I wanted was a half an hour to frame a few pictures to put on the wall. I needed a project to keep the kids busy and out of my hair, but they also needed to be where I could see them. Coloring it is! I have Evie's small table set up in the kitchen, and they love to sit at it (once they figured out how to get on the chairs and stay there without falling over). I pulled out the big crayons for the boys and Evie had her own crayons. I really did keep an eye on them, but that wasn't enough. Washable crayons are such a blessing. Here's why:
Guthrie (aka Van Gough) decided the blue crayon was extra tasty. I was rubbing crayon chunks out from between his teeth. Eww.

Oh, Guster... ew. I'm having a surprisingly visceral reaction to that nastiness. I know it's just crayon... but... it's so... blue. *shudder*
