I am the fireworks!
What do you do when dry and hot conditions make fireworks dangerous, Zevon's high fever keeps you indoors, and a busy week makes an early bedtime mandatory? Take the fireworks indoors! I bought a bunch of glow sticks from the Target clearance bins. We snapped them open, headed to the basement for darkness, and Will played 'Stars and Stripes Forever' on his iPod for the kids to dance to. It is one of the sillier things I've come up with as a parent. But the kids had a great time. (And I got a chance to try out the night options on my camera.)
