Evie Lu is ten months old today and everyone celebrated by giving each other candy! How great is that? Evie Lu had an eventful day as she joined the church Toddler Time Halloween party and saw kids dressed as everything from Spiderman to Dori (from Finding Nemo) to princesses. Evangeline had a great time and you could tell she was dying to be running around with the other kids.
Why am I wearing a white thing over my clothes?
Evie Lu was a hit as a 24 pound bag of Crystal Sugar. There was much oooing and awwwing over Evie Lu's outfit which Kaia made. I was the only dad at Toddler Time among all the moms and kids which prompted me to wonder where all the stay at home dads were. Seriously, guys get with the program.
Hold on, if I wear this I get free candy? Awesome! Wait, what is candy?

Not gonna lie: this costume idea is the greatest ever. I'm already trying to figure out how to adapt it for potential adult use. Evie is the sweetest. I cannot WAIT to see her!

Wonderful costume! A.Crystal Sugar is near and dear to her Minnesota family's hearts! B. she's round and solid and heavy...like a bag of sugar C.She's full of sweetness, which makes the bag of sugar a perfect costume! I won't take the analogy any further because it would just get weird, but kudos to Kaia for the idea and execution and to Will for being the only dad to enjoy the party. Although she won't remember the day...the pictures will be treasured!
