I Want To Crawl

Kaia and I noticed last night that as Evie Lu was on her back she was scooting a little bit. Her movements were random and rapid, but she was moving. We decided to giver some belly time to see if this back scooting could be translated into crawling. Not a chance, but she held her head high and looked like any moment could burst forward.

Don't the cheeks just get you?

Chris and I are wondering why you'd encourage her to be independently mobile already. In my husband's own words, "Once they start moving, you can kiss your free time goodbye." Not that you guys have any of that, but still. I say let her flail as loooong as possible. She'll figure it out eventually.

Ha, ha, ha, ha. Free time. Oh, that's a good one. Whew. (Wiping away tears from laughter.)

Actually, the more appropriate comment might be "Once they start moving, kiss everything goodbye!" They get into anything and everything that is at eye level, and you can no longer leave them in one spot, expecting to be able to find them when you return, 5 seconds later! The whole game changes with mobility - I say, the later the walking, the better!
