Huge Day Out!

Wednesday saw the end of the snow here and Evangeline, Kaia and I ventured out farther than ever before. We went to Costco! Evie Lu picked out a Sony flatscreen tv, but we didn't have room in the car.

Next we were off to the church to visit all friends and co-workers who had not seen Evangeline yet. She followed in her dad's pattern of going to work, having lunch, and then taking a little nap. Evangeline asked me what work was like:

Evangeline: What do you in a typical day?
Will: Well, I generally come in at least fifteen minutes late, ah, I use the side door - that way Lumbergh can't see me, heh heh - and, uh, after that I just sorta space out for about an hour.
Evangeline: Space out?
Will: Yeah, I just stare at my desk; but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch, too. I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work.

After learning about business ethics, we visited another friend before heading home. All in all we were out for five hours! Quite an accomplishment for us.

Below: Jenny made this awesome Concordia mascot for Evangeline and already our little one is wondering if she cheers for the Cobber or has it for lunch.

That was quite an excursion! However, I think that Concordia would probably pay money to get that picture in the alumni magazine. Go Cobbers! WT

What kind of school has a veggie for a mascot?

Kaia argues corn is really a starch and not a vegie and she also tells me "Cobber" means friend in Australia.
She also says she had to keep going to graduate school to improve mascots. Cobbers - Badgers - Huskies. Although I'd take a Badger over a Husky any day. At least she's not a Lute.
